Full Description:

Fast growing, privately held, SaaS based Foster City industry leader looking for someone to head Sales. 



With offices in Silicon Valley, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, join a team of people whose creativity extends well beyond the office walls. 



This role, as Head of Sales will drive the adoption of their platform by new customers and expand the usage of their existing customers. The Head of Sales will run a team that consistently qualifies, develops and closes both new and expansion opportunities. The Head of Sales will have deep experience with the “multi-headed” B2B/Enterprise sales process, particularly one that involves information security and data privacy.  The Head of Sales will manage, mentor, and motivate a team of SDRs and AEs to consistently exceed their targets.  This position reports directly to the CEO.



.Responsibilities:




  • Develop a business plan for achieving the enterprise sales target.  This will include the prioritization of opportunities, maximizing coverage of opportunities, minimizing the length of the sales cycle, maximizing the close rate and creating/adapting a suitable compensation plan for the team.

  • Continually forecast and model the weighted and unweighted pipelines, and measure these pipelines vs. the quarterly and annual targets.

  • Continually evaluate and optimize sales operations processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team, and ensure our ability to scale.

  • Perform “what if” models for new business initiatives that affect the Sales team.

  • Work closely with Marketing on optimizing both the quantity and quality of the lead commit.

  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure that appropriate supporting materials are available to assist the execution of sales strategies and campaigns.

  • Work closely with Customer Success on account management tactics and processes to maximize the retention rate.

  • Recruit, coach, manage, and retain a top-quality team of Sales Development Reps and Account Executives.





Requirements




  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in sales

  • 5+ years Sales Management experience

  • Track record of increasing management responsibility

  • Track record of leading an Enterprise SaaS sales organization to hit or exceed its targets

  • Experience working with both inbound and outbound lead gen teams

  • Experience working in conjunction with a channel sales function

  • Deep understanding of sales methodologies

  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.

  • Experience and expertise using Salesforce

  • A true team player who actively seeks out feedback and iterates quickly

  • A “can do” attitude and a willingness to do what is required for success, including travel and customer involvement

  • This leader will be articulate and bright, an aggressive self-starter; a strong decision maker or process-thinker; a good team player; very effective interfacing and working with other functions, when establishing and implementing strategic sales plans
